63% of injuries to those age 65 and older are due to falls. 55% of falls happen at home (Canadian Institute of Health Information, 2017).
Between 2014 and 2017, seniors between the ages of 60 to 79 years were scammed out of 94 million dollars (Federal Competition Bureau, 2018).
Our professional home safety advisors help aging adults (including Dementia and/or Alzheimers patients) and families determine the steps necessary to maximize both safety and independence in their own home. The Age Safe Canada assessment covers over 240 points to determine what is needed in your home to allow you to age safely in place without using senior homes at a time when it is not safe.
Following our assessment we will provide you with information including who to contact and possibly receive government funding for improvements to your home to accommodate your needs.
Our Registered Nursing staff are also available to provide Health assessments and possibly identify problems that need to be addressed by your doctor.
